The Nakuru Lake Biodiversity Conservation Project in the Kenya National Park of the same name will focus on improving the water supply and wastewater infrastructure in the city of Nakuru. Water Loss d.o.o. Sarajevo has signed a contract today with the large multinational company BDO (Binder Dijker Otte) to participate in a project in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan. The project, “Institutional Capacity Building in the Dushanbe Water Utility,” will run for two years and is funded by the Asian Development Bank (ADB).
Dushanbe has a population of 820,000, which is expected to increase due to ongoing migration from rural areas to the city.

As part of the Project „Akcija za povećanje energetske i vodne efikasnosti usluga vodosnabdijevanja” within the IPA cross-border cooperation program between Montenegro and Bosnia&Herzegovina with the aim of achieving long – term resource efficiency in the water supply sector Water Loss d.o.o. will carry out a campaign to reduce losses in one DMA in each of the 4 water supply systems (Kotor and Herceg Novi in Montenegro, Visoko and Foča – Ustikolina in BiH).
Project activities in Ustikoliana water supply system already started as of July. Activities in Kotor and Herceg Novi water supply systems will start in September, while activities in Visoko will begin at the end of October. Water Loss ltd. has started activities on the project „Ukrainian Water Supply Improvement Program” with Danish company NIRAS. The two-year project will be implemented in 10 cities in this country: Fastiv, Summy, Chernichiv, Lubny, Berdychiv, Lutsk, Odesa, Horishni Plavni, Khmelnytskyi and Kaniv. On the last day of May 2020, the first phase of the non-revenue water reduction project in Jeddah was successfully completed.
The main objective of project – continuous water supply to all consumers in Jeddah as well as the reduction of leakage time (time from its occurrence to its detection) to 24 hours, got achieved with the establishment of 25 “Smart Zones”, the reconstruction of individual parts of the system, installation of more than 300 pressure and flow meters and a network of noise loggers connected to the SCADA system. Water Loss Week 2019 was held in Sarajevo from September 9 to 13. Two academies were held as part of this event, both of which consisted of theoretical lectures held at the International Multimedia Centre for Children and Youth and practical exercises at Water Loss training centre.

Water Loss ltd. has signed a contract for Water loss reduction Project in Saudi Arabia. It is currently the largest project of its kind in the world and it is being implemented in three cities in Saudi Arabia: Riyadh, Mecca and Jeddah. A presentation entitled “Analysis of non-revenue water in the water supply system of the Brcko District of BiH – action plan for reducing non-revenue water” was held on the premises of company JP Komunalno Brčko, for the employees of “RJ Vodovod i Kanalizacija” and representatives of the Department for Communal Affairs. The presentation was led and moderated by Đevad Koldžo, a non-revenue water expert from Water Loss ltd which drafted this action plan.
