We are pleased to announce that Water Loss doo has signed a cooperation agreement with the renowned German company Sachsen Wasser GmbH from Leipzig for a major international project in Jordan.
The project, titled Water Loss Reduction Programme (BMZ No.: 2020 68 195), is financed by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) through KfW Development Bank, in partnership with the Water Authority of Jordan (WAJ).
Its main objective is to reduce Non-Revenue Water (NRW) in the northern supply area managed by the Yarmouk Water Company (YWC), with a particular focus on the Mafraq region, where NRW levels currently reach up to 68%.
The programme, scheduled to run for 7.5 years, will include:
- development and implementation of an NRW reduction strategy,
- design and supervision of a Performance-Based Contract (PBC) model,
- rehabilitation and modernization of the water network, including replacement of pipelines and house connections,
- introduction of advanced systems for pressure management, metering, and digitalization (SCADA, GIS, smart meters),
- capacity building and training for local utilities.
By participating in this programme, Water Loss doo continues to demonstrate its expertise and international recognition in the field of water loss management, contributing to sustainable development and more efficient water resource management in one of the most water-scarce countries in the world.
